I’ve written a few women’s fiction novels. I’ve written a phycological fiction book, Planning Penelope, about a man who stalks a young woman through a college campus. Many of my novels are chick-lit, romance, but I love to dabble in other genres and push boundaries. Just having the opportunity to write and put it out there in the world is reward enough. But even if I didn’t sell one book, it would all be worth it. And once they know your books exist, you have to convince them they’re worth reading. I’d say the greatest struggle as a writer is getting people to know your stories are out there to be read. Everyone who puts a lot of work into something has grand dreams of the world standing behind them and cheering them on the whole way. I’d say the road has been a challenging gift. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you? We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. I feel grateful I’m able to share them with the world.
I love every one of my stories as if they were living, breathing beings. I wrote and published six novels in three years. And I might have gotten carried away with it.
